Plant-based foods are just as NUTRITIOUS as meat or dairy, but are far more SUSTAINABLE for our valuable resources.
And we can prove it. All plant-based foods such as soya foods, nut-based drinks, vegetable crops and fruits need less LAND, less WATER, and generate fewer greenhouse GAS EMISSIONS compared to meat and dairy production. Let's sow the seeds to feed a fertile FUTURE based on plants!
Figuring out how to FEED the world’s growing 7 billion POPULATION is pretty tricky. But we know one of the answers lies in plant-based foods.
Did you know that the production of SOYA DRINKS uses 2 times less land compared to cow's milk.
Did you know that with just 1 hectare of land you can feed 30 people with PLANT-BASED FOODS and only 6 people with meat and dairy products? Power through the plate.
We're a force of nature.
The production of SOYA DRINK uses 4 times less water and 2.5 times less CO2 emissions compared to the production of cow's milk.
Since 2010 all our production processes are CO2 neutral as a result of
- saving energy.
- replacing fossil fuels with green energy.
- investing in external CO2 reducing projects.
Passport - tick. Transport – tick. The bags are packed and ready for dispatch. Depart. Soya beans have travel plans too! But we do this by RESPECTING the ENVIRONMENT. All our soya beans are sourced in Europe and are transported by road or train, whichever is closest to the factory. Safe journey!
Did you know that 85 million trees are cut down every year around the world to decorate shops, streets and homes for CHRISTMAS? Provamel didn’t have a real tree last Christmas. We started a new, ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY Christmas tradition by making our own, sustainable tree. You supported us in our new tradition and crafted fun, original, sustainable trees too. We planted a tree in Africa for every tree that was posted on Instagram and for every like. Because of this, we were able to plant 25,000 TREES in Burkina Faso. This means that we’re contributing to ‘The Great Green Wall’, a plan to plant a forest that is 15 km wide and 7,100 km long, which runs from the East Coast to the West Coast of Africa, to prevent the Sahara from spreading.
Reduce your own ENVIRONMENTAL FOOTPRINT. Reducing the amount of meat is a great way to start! Why should we take a roundabout and feed plants to animals so that we can get protein from meat? Why not pick up PROTEIN from PLANT-BASED FOODS? Healthy, eco-friendly, sustainable foods, and thanks to us, delicious and easy! Spread the word ...
Our soya beans, oats, spelt, rice, almonds and hazelnuts are all sourced from EUROPE.
We prefer to work with SMALL soya FARMERS rather than buying our soya beans on the world market.
Long-term relationships are worth it. Really! Ours are rooted in SUSTAINABILITY and RESPECT for our partners. We work to try to cushion our farmers from the cut and thrust of the competitive market place. This helps them to build a safe and secure future and ensures we have the finest natural crops. We’re in it for the LONG-TERM. The feeling is mutual: we’re connected.
Our products are 100% ORGANIC and
- have not been treated with pesticides or artificial fertilisers.
- stimulate BIODIVERSITY.
- respect the environment (e.g. no soya beans are grown in rainforest).
- are Non-GMO.
