Noco di cocco

È bello sapere che la coltivazione delle noci di cocco ha un’impronta ambientale limitata. Le noci di cocco crescono tutto l’anno e vengono raccolte in tutte le stagioni, per l’esattezza ogni tre mesi. Sette anni trascorrono dalla semina ai primi frutti e la palma resta produttiva fino alla veneranda età di 100 anni, escludendo quindi qualsiasi pratica di deforestazione. Inoltre, l’impiego di fertilizzanti è estremamente ridotto o addirittura non necessario, non vengono impiegati pesticidi e l’ambiente tropicale umido e rigoglioso rende superflua qualsiasi irrigazione. Non viene buttato nulla della noce di cocco. La polpa e il latte del cocco vengono incorporati in alimenti e bevande, mentre il guscio e le fibre vengono impiegati per produrre olio di cocco, biomassa o addirittura mobili.

Our organic coconuts are sourced from South East Asia. Coconuts are harvested year round – every three months to be exact. After harvest, every part of the coconut is used.

CAREFULLY SELECTED

Once harvested, our local farmers’ co-operative selects the coconuts for us and performs a strict quality control.

THE WHOLE COCONUT IS USED

The coconuts are dehulled and cracked.  We only use the coconut meat and water for our foods and drinks but nothing goes to waste. The other parts of the coconut are used to make coconut oil, to produce biodiesel or even to make furniture.

OUR RECIPE

For our drinks, we mix the coconut water and meat with water and other ingredients, depending on the particular recipe. You can see all the ingredients we use on the individual product pages.
