We use as little sugar as possible in our products - but sometimes, a hint of sweetness really brings a recipe to life. We source it from Brazil and Argentina. We’re working on finding a high-quality source closer to home.
Any bread lovers in the house? A few grains of European wheat are used to make a starchy thickener for our recipes.
Sounds scary, we know! And even more when we look on Wikipedia. Now, did you know it's extracted from seaweed? We could have used entire seaweed, but we're only looking at the part that could make your dessert taste creamy: that's the carrageenan.
Does anyone else think it’s weird that vanilla comes in sticks? Since we cannot possibly use the whole stick in our products, we use organic certified extract from organic vanilla sticks instead. We get most of our vanilla from Madagascar – the natural climate of this world-famous flavour. But because it’s wrong to have favourites, we also occasionally source from Reunion, Mexico, the Caribbean, Tahiti, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and India: their natural habitats.
